"I'm going to make WAFFLES!!!"

This image of delicious, mouthwatering waffles came from: http://www.brusselspictures.com/wp-content/photos/BelgianWaffles/BelgianWaffles.JPG

I absolutely love Saturday mornings! Why? I love them, because my mom sometimes wakes up earlier and makes a delicious, huge breakfast for our family. And whenever she does this, there always seems to be a warm, soft, fresh stack of waffles on the kitchen table, just calling my name. Yum!
Besides bacon and eggs, waffles would have to be my favorite part about a good old-fashioned breakfast. They're just so warm and yummy, and even better with toppings! I know that different people eat various toppings with their waffles, and personally, I put peanut butter, maple syrup, and sometimes chocolate chips on my waffles. If you haven't tried this, you totally should! Once you have your waffles all topped off, pop the whole lot of it in the microwave for a few seconds to melt all of it together. It's simply delicious! :)

"Love is Here"

Love is here, and it satisfies.
Listen to this amazingly beautiful song by Tenth Avenue North.
Its message is so powerful, and yet, so simple:
Jesus alone satisfies, so we need not look anywhere else for fulfillment.
He is all I want, and all I need.<3

Because everyone loves happy, little African kids. :)

"Come to the Water, you who thirst, and you'll thirst no more. Come to the Father, you who work, and you'll work no more. And all you who labor in vain, and to the broken and shamed,
Love is here; love is now. Love is pouring from His hands, from His brow. Love is near; it satisfies. Streams of mercy flowing from His side.
'Cause love is here.
Come to the Treasure, you who search, and you'll search no more. Come to the Lover, you who want, and you'll want no more. And all you who labor in pain, and to the broken and shamed,
Love is here; love is now. Love is pouring from His hands, from His brow. Love is near; it satisfies. Streams of mercy flowing from His side.
And to the bruised and fallen, captives bound, and broken hearted, He is the Lord. He is the Lord. By His stripes He's paid our ransom; from His wounds we drink salvation. He is the Lord, He is the Lord. Love is here; love is now. Love is pouring from His hands, from His brow. Love is near; it satisfies. Streams of mercy flowing from His side. Streams of mercy flowing from His side.
'Cause love is here. Love is here."

Need a Moment?

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhh!!!!!

I absolutely love the frazzled, insane look on this woman's face, because I can closely identify with her. Very, very closely identify. Especially in moments of stress and anxiety.
Anyone who spends a lot of time around me knows that whenever I get really stressed out, I try to bottle up all of my frustrations. I try so hard to play it cool and not let on to people that I am worried about upcoming exams, homework, my job, or petty little arguments with friends or family. It works well for a while, because I've learned how to camoflage the fact that I'm stressed out. Sooner or later though, something happens or someone says something that puts me over the edge, and all the frustrations that I've been bottling up come out. And then I end up like this woman: yelling at some poor, innocent soul, and looking like a crazy person while doing it.
In time, I have learned that bottling it all up is not the best thing to do. I can pretend all I want that everything is fine, but pretending doesn't make my worries go away.
All this said, I do know one way to be freed from stress and anxieties. It's really a simple remedy that works each and every time for me. What is it? Prayer.
Whenever I get worried about something, I take a moment to pray for the wisdom to make good decisions and for the strength to make it through the stressful times. Philippians 4:6-7 reminds me to "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." I'm so thankful that I have an awesome God that cares, and that He's always there for me!

Your Grace is Enough!

I know you have one of them, too. Yes. One of those songs that, after hearing the opening notes, makes you want to jump up and dance like a hooligan for the sheer joy of it. One of those songs that just makes your day brighter and happier than you ever thought possible. Your Grace is Enough, sung by the incredibly talented Matt Maher, is that song for me. Go ahead. Lend your ear to this upbeat praise song, and you'll see what I mean. :) Oh, and after you do that, have a "praise Jesus" kind of day!

Great is Your faithfulness, oh God.
You wrestle with the sinner's heart.
You lead us by still waters into mercy,
And nothing can keep us apart.

So, remember Your people.
Remember Your children.
Remember Your promise, oh God.

Your grace is enough!
Your grace is enough!
Your grace is enough!
Your grace is enough for me!

Great is Your love and justice, God of Jacob.
You use the weak to lead the strong.
You lead us in the song of Your salvation,
And all Your people sing along.

So remember Your people.
Remember Your children.
Remember Your promise, oh God.

Your grace is enough!
Your grace is enough!
Your grace is enough!
Your grace is enough for me!

Your grace is enough.
Heaven reaching down to us.
Your grace is enough for me.

God, I see Your grace is enough.
I'm covered in Your love.
Your grace is enough for me!
